Teaching at a hands-on seminar on molecular structure generation models

Published: Updated:

We will serve as an instructor at the hands-on seminar held the day before the 49th Symposium on Chemoinformatics.

The seminar introduces molecular structure generation by implementing a simple model in PyTorch using SMILES, a text representation of molecular structures. Topics include Python libraries, compound-data preprocessing, model theory and implementation, and an overview of more advanced generation models.

  • Seminar: 基礎から学ぶ分子構造生成モデルの仕組み (an introduction to molecular structure generation models)
  • Instructors (as listed in the Japanese program): 前田 樹、井上 貴央、大城 海、新原 光貴
  • Date: 9 November 2026
  • Venue: Forest Square, 8th floor, Nara, Japan
  • Organizer: Division of Chemoinformatics, The Chemical Society of Japan
  • Planning cooperation: ケモインフォマティクス若手の会 (Young Chemoinformatics Researchers)
